The flagship material
Zero crystalline silica.
Zero compromise.
A quartz-look engineered surface built without the hazard that is reshaping the industry, delivered at container scale, with the documentation to prove it.
Why this matters now
The engineered-stone industry has a silica problem
Conventional engineered quartz is up to 90% crystalline silica. When it is cut, ground or polished, it releases respirable crystalline silica (RCS), the cause of silicosis, an irreversible lung disease. Regulators are responding.
Australia
Became the first nation to ban the manufacture, supply and installation of engineered stone containing crystalline silica (2024).
United Kingdom
HSE has intensified enforcement of workplace exposure limits for RCS across stone fabrication and construction.
US & EU
OSHA and EU member states continue to tighten permissible exposure limits, raising the compliance burden on silica-based products.
Specifying zero-silica quartz removes the material at the root of this regulatory trajectory, protecting workforces and future-proofing specifications.
Tested batch by batch · zero crystalline silica
The TerraVante standard
Zero: tested, not claimed
This is not a low-silica compromise. Our Zero Crystalline Silica Stone is engineered to contain no crystalline silica, and every batch is QA-inspected and documented before it leaves the line.
- ✓Classified not hazardous under Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP) & GB-CLP.
- ✓Prepared to REACH (EC) 1907/2006 and post-EU-Exit UK REACH.
- ✓Not PBT / vPvB; contains no substances of endocrine-disrupting concern.
- ✓Full Safety Data Sheet available (TerraVante SDS V1.0, based on manufacturer SDS V2.1.0; Report No. HGBZ260535S1).
"Not low-silica. Zero silica. Every batch QA-inspected and documented before release, delivered fabrication-ready."

Conventional quartz vs. TerraVante zero-silica
| Consideration | Conventional engineered quartz | TerraVante zero-silica |
|---|---|---|
| Crystalline silica content | Up to ~90% | Zero |
| Regulatory trajectory | Bans & tightening exposure limits | Ahead of the curve |
| CLP classification | Silica-bearing | Not classified hazardous |
| Finish & formats | Premium | Premium: 3200×1600, 20/30 mm |
| Documentation | Varies | SDS · test reports · EPD (in prep) |
Responsible fabrication note: while the finished product is non-hazardous, all mechanical processing of stone generates dust. TerraVante supports good-practice controls as standard for every fabricator: dust suppression, ventilation and PPE (SDS statements P261 / P280 / P284).
